For the first time ever, SOFE will produce both an unrefereed conference record and a peer-reviewed special issue of the IEEE journal Transactions on Plasma Science. Authors who submit a paper to the proceedings (and present at the symposium) will be invited to expand on their conference paper for submission to the special issue.
The tentative schedule (subject to change) is:
- June 1-5, 2009
- authors submit papers to the conference record
- June 29, 2009
- author submission deadline for journal
- Sept. 1, 2009
- review deadline
- Dec. 1, 2009
- revised manuscripts due
- Feb. 2010
- journal publication
- authors submit papers to the conference record
