Dain Holdener wins American Nuclear Society "Best Student Poster" award at 15th International Conference on Emerging Nuclear Energy Systems.

Dain Holdener, a masters student in Mechancial and Aerospace Engineering and member of the Center of Energy Research, was awarded the Best Student Poster award at the 15th International Conference on Emerging Nuclear Energy Systems hosted by the American Nuclear Society. His poster is entitled "Convective Heating of the LIFE Engine Target During Injection."

The poster competition included 24 participants. Dain received the 1st prize along with a commemorative plaque and cash award. Each poster was judged by several judges based on appearance, technical contents and clarity in addition to the technical knowledge and oral skills of the presenter.
