ECE Professor Ed Yu appointed as Associate Director of CER

Vice Chancellor Art Ellis has appointed Professor Ed Yu as Associate Director of the Center for Energy Research effective July 1, 2008. Prof. Yu is a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department specializing in semiconductor materials and device physics, and in nanoscale science and nanotechnology. Professor Yu is currently leading a team funded under the Department of Energy's Solar America Initiative to investigate semiconductor nanostructures for high-efficiency photovoltaics, and as CER Associate Director he will be leading research activities within the Center relevant to all aspects of solar energy conversion and utilization.
