Registration

Registration is now live: REGISTER HERE!

Required Documents: After you submit your registration, you (1) will need to submit a CV or resume as a PDF file and (2) will need to request an email from your supervisor confirming their consent for you to attend the Summer School.

Please email these two documents to heds-summerschool@ucsd.edu.  The deadline to register and to submit supporting materials is May 1, 2025.

Fees

Please note that the information below is outdated. Update for 2025 pending and cost is subject to change. Welcome to review for a reference of past expense. 

 

Students & Postdocs

There are no registration or accommodation fees to participate in the Summer School if you are a student or postdoc enrolled or working in a US based institution.  Students or postdocs studying or working at non-US based institutions do not need to pay a registration fee, however, a small accommodation fee of $750 is needed to support housing and meals on campus.

Research Professionals

There is a registration fee of $700 per individual.  Due to budget constraints, meals and housing are not included in the basic registration fee for research professionals.  Housing is based on availability and located in the student on-campus dormitories.  Alternatively, you may choose to stay in a local hotel and make arrangements yourself.  We have listed a few local hotels under our "Travel" page.

Details: Basic registration is required for all research professionals who would like to attend the summer school.  You can choose to add on meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or on-campus housing + meals.  These are not required.  If you do not elect to add meals, you will need to make your own arrangements for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  If you do not elect to add on-campus housing, you will need to make your own housing accommodations for the duration of the school.
